1. Go to any passport photo center and get a lovely pic taken. You need a plain old headshot with a blue background a lot of places don't do the passport photo. I got mine at CVS for like $6, I think walmart does them too. Call around.

2. After you have the photos take those, your birth certificate, your drivers liscense and your checkbook to the post office.

3. Wait in line.

4. Fill out all the forms they give you. You will write two separate checks and it will cost about $80.

5. You will get your passport n the mail in about six weeks.

6. Have fun traveling! Go see some awesome stuff for me!

A certified birth certificate and an approved passport picture. You can have the picture taken at anyplace that advertises passport pictures. Oh and of course, the passport application, which I think is available in any post office.

To obtain a passport for the first time, you need to go in person to one of 9,000 passport acceptance facilities located throughout the United States with two photographs of yourself, proof of U.S. citizenship, and a valid form of photo identification such as a driver’s license.

I hope that helps you out. Good Luck!

I would suggest that you go to the US Postal Service website http://www.usps.com/ they will have all the information that you need as well as you can print out the forms that you need to fill out, prior to going to your local post office.

Hope this helps!
