God loves everyone, he doesnt want to hurt anyone. There have been times where he had to destroy alot of people, and I think his reason for that is because they were too far gone to repent. He sees what people think, and he knows if a person has a shred of good in them.

The real enemy is Satan, if your a non believer he may not mess with you very much, he knows your his. But if your a believer of God then he'll try his hardest to make your life hell. But there comes a point where you will have to get satan out of your life in order to win over him, and that is only done through the power of Jesus.

If your a borderline believer, still iffy about it, then Satan is going to get onto you the most, making it really hard for you to believe. But no matter how hard it gets, believe onto God, for he never fails, and will always prosper.

The short answer here is NO. But the definition of Hell is the absence of God. Therefore without God in your life you will constantly feel the void in your heart that only He can fill. You will try to fill it with anything else (money, sex, possesions, status, etc.) Whatever one you choose will only result in temporary happiness and an even deeper hunger for the next thing. This constant downward spiral can make your life feel like Hell but its only because youre trying to do it all on your own. The good news is that even if you make poor decisions in your life, God is always looking for you to turn toward Him and He says that all things will work together for good meaning He can use the negative or "hellish" things in your life to bring you closer to Him and His purpose for you. Only with faith in God can you lead the loving and humble servant lifestyle portrayed by Jesus Christ. Once you find this, you will never again think that your life is hell. It will still be sad and frustrating at times but you will remember that this life is temporary and that eternal life awaits us.

He does not really make it hell. We might make it hell for us with our choices. I was spiritually dead, and I did not know it because I did not give time of my day to God.

Many people live happy here and they do not believe in God. Unfortunately, we all must die and what happens after that is determined by our choice here. God does not want to be separated from us, but He respects our choice.

God gives hope if our life turns sour. He is with us always and we do not need to have a minister of pastor to talk with Him. I also talk to Him when happy. He uses people and events and circumstances to draw us closer to Him. We are here only a short time, eternity is a long long time. : )

Well, the bible (mostly the old testament) claims he will -- there are all kinds of promises of disease, plague, famine, boils, blisters, death, and destruction for non-believers.

Yet...here I am, a complete non-believer. As a test, I've called your mythical god every bad name there is, and dared him to do something bad to me. But...I'm 47 (today!) and in great health, have a wonderful wife of 15 years, two great kids, have a big house on 3 acres with a pool, make a mid 6-figure income, am perfectly happy, and live a life of peace with everyone, helping others when I can. No boils, no plague, no death or destruction. If this god in the bible is real (there's no evidence of any kind that he is), he *certainly* doesn't keep his promises.
Meanwhile, my "christian" neighbor, who's kind of a jerk to begin with, was just diagnosed with cancer at 33. Yep, this made-up god of yours sure sucks at keeping his promises :)

Definetly not! Most people say this when something bad happens to them and they use God hating them as a reason for everything bad that is going on. There might be trials in your life in which he might bring to try and make you better or stronger or try and have yuo give your life to him, but he never makes anyones life a hell just because you dont convert, you will have an eternity in hell anyway if you dont give your life to him, and God wants to save you and make your life better, not make it a hell!

Think of your question in this way; would your parents make your life hell if you didn't believe in something they had tried to teach you? Then why would you think that the perfect parent would be worse than your own earthly parents? God doesn't make anyone's life hell if they CHOOSE to not believe in Him. CHOICE was the whole reason He created man, gave him life and so on. He doesn't want us to believe in Him or worship Him because we are afraid that if we don't we will be destroyed or suffer. He wants us to believe in Him and worship Him because we love Him. Everyone on this earth has the right to choose everything in their lives; if they choose to make the wrong decisions, do you think that God is going to step in and make everything rosy for them? Or, as the perfect parent, would He allow them to fall down on their face and learn from their mistakes? Please remember that we all have the right to choose our own path and sometimes the paths we choose are rocky and filled with thorns, but we learn from those choices and we continue on or we don't learn and we keep on the same crappy path until we do learn.

I think everyone needs something to believe in...
Only people can decide if their lives will be a living hell or not...

Not in this life.and I think that is very fair for everyone to have a complete chance to reach the right way,and after death we will be all judged on our deeds, and God will be the only one who decides who will be in the heavens, and who will be on hell, according to our deeds.

No. God punishes people for their unbelief and yes, He even sends judgment on those who are defiant against Him, but He does not try us beyond what we are able to handle. Also remember that God gave everyone his/her own free will to do with their lives what they please, but if people do not use their free will to serve the Lord, then He will punish those who deny and disobey Him. Because of the sinful nature of man, by our own doing, we make our own lives a hell - not God. We have a choice to do with our lives what we please and many people across the globe make their own choices in life, some of those choices being the wrong ones and thus, one's life becomes more and more difficult to handle. Christians like myself go through trials and tribulations also - we're not exempt from suffering and dealing with problems, but we have faith in God that He'll deliver us from our dilemmas. Remember that it is because of mans' sin that God cursed the earth and that is the reason why there are famines, plagues, diseases, sorrow, sickness, etc.

Absolutely not. What happens is this. He has given us certain guidelines so we can live happy, healthy lives... or at least as much as possible. If we fail to follow those guidelines and suffer the consequences, how is that His fault? Look at it this way. You have a child. You teach your child that smoking is bad for you. That it can kill you. You've TAUGHT your child this. However, he/she goes and smokes anyway and 20 or 30 years down the road is diagnosed with lung cancer. Is that your fault?
