He is going to the doctors but can't see anyone till thursday. Its the classic lump size of a pea semi hard, but i read that its worse if its at the front of the testicle as apose to the back. Is this true and why??? I'm really worried about him.

he had a vasectomy ten years ago so no longer produces sperm so the lump is not just a build up

Might just be a fairly common and harmless hydrocele. It certainly wont be prostate cancer, since it's in his testicle!

Hiya - Try not to worry too much, it could be something much simpler although it is understandable, we all tend to think of the not nice scenarios. However, the Doctor will soon be able to assess whether there is a problem and will send your husband for further tests if there is.

My understanding from someone i know is that even if your fears were well founded this is a very treatable condition. Particularly when caught early.

I doubt it makes any difference where the lump is - I can't see how anyway. Even if it was bad news, he seems to have found this lump very quickly. I do know that the prognosis for testuicular cancer is very good. Hopefully it is just a cyst - my brother had a similar thing and it turned out to be nothing. I wish you the very best of luck.

I have pretty much the same thing, went to the doctor last tuseday & he referred me to a specialist. (going this coming monday) The doctor told me that it is most likely a cyst, but it wasn't something he felt qualified to take care of.

The best thing you can do is relax, and try not to think about it. Chances are, it's nothing serious. I know how you feel, there's few things worse than not knowing for sure. I've had a few sleepless nights myself & probably will have some more before monday gets here.

Does your doctor's surgery not have emergency appointments that your husband could take so that your minds could be put at rest? There might not be anything to worry about so try to stay calm and positive until he has seen the doctor xx

relax, it could just be a cyst. Don't look for trouble before you know for sure what is going on. Besides, even if it is prostate cancer, it is very slow growing and has a wonderful cure rate.
In other words, wait til he sees the doctor and knows what is going on before you worry yourself sick. Worry never did a thing to help.

No mam, it's not a lump but simply sperm cells that are collecting there. Trust me mam make love to your man and when he reaches orgasm it will all be back to normal.
