I told a good longtime friend that I like her a whole lot and that I thought she was flirting with me. She said that she was not intending to flirt and I had misinterpreted her actions, but later during the same AIM conversation, she asked me what I thought about starting to share our deepest thoughts with each other. We could encourage each other she said. Why does she want us to share our deepest thoughts?

She sounds like she's playing with you. The best thing to do would be to back off and find other things to do. Watch what she is doing, instead of what she is saying. Is she spending all her free time with you? Are you dating? If not, it's better to find others to spend time with.

its hard to decipher her intentions with the given information. but perhaps she was not flirting, but instead trying to reach a new level of intimacy in your friendship. you said that you two were friends for a while, maybe she just wanted to share some stuff with you, and was only comfortable if you shared as well.

she doesn't love you I am sorry to tell you so but if she loved you she would have approved on dating you from the beginning but she told you to share your thoughts because she felt sorry for you and wanted to compensate you as she couldn't be your girlfriend she could be your best friend move on and pass her you deserve better

it could be that she just really wants to share everything with her 'best' friend...but from a out persons view .i.e. mine...it looks like that she does have at least strong feelings for you...maybe she is scared to have a relationship just incase it ruins your friendship
