I have the setting for it but it won't open it at all and there is no programmer here to fix the situation so I was wondering if there is a program on Yahoo that does the same thing that MicroSoft Word does and where is it located?

Do a Google search for "Open Office Windows". Open Office is an open-source (meaning "free") office suite that is able to open Microsoft Office type files. It will be able to open your Word document.

Assuming you are running Windows, you should be able to opne the file using Wordpad, which is build into Windows.

On the Start Menu, look under Accessories, and Wordpad. Start the program, and then from within the program open the Word document. As Wordpad does not have all the fancy extras of Word, it is possible that the document may not format correctly. But you will be able to at least see and read the document.

Recommend that you NOT resave the document using Wordpad (or do it with a different name). Otherwise you will lose all the Word formatting.

Then get ahold of whoever administers your PCs to get Word properly set up for your ID.
