I woke up yesterday morning around 10am (after getting about 8 hours of sleep) and had an EXCRUCIATING headache...I stayed up for about two hours, ate something (hoping it would help), then took a shower (hoping it would help)...then went back to bed for a couple of hours because the headache just kept getting worse. When I woke up from my nap my headache was SLIGHTLY better, but still hurt a LOT. I stayed up for about another 3 hours or so (most of that spent in a dark room with my head resting on something), I took an advil migraine, an airbornes, drank tons of water and then I went back to bed and slept until 1am today. I drank tons of water, went to the bathroom then went back to bed (AGAIN!!). I woke up again around 6amish....I had to go to work so I got up and got ready...my head didn't hurt too badly right away. When I got to work it started getting a little worse...and now not even 3 hours later my head is just POUNDING again!! It is all over my head, making me nauseous, etc...

This sounds like a migraine, especially the throbbing and nausea. You might want to make an appointment with your doctor, both to rule out something more serious and to see about getting Rx migraine medication.
p.s. with over the counter stuff, try Alleve.
