I got a sony vcr over a year ago and have only used it it twice. It plays videos fine but when I change the channels on the vcr to record a tv show or whatever I get a blue screen or I get picture but it is extremely blurry. I have tried it on two of my other tv's and the same thing occurs. Any suggestions on how I can fix this would be much appreciated.

Blue screen on any recent vintage VCR usually means a lack of a good signal. Rather than show a snowy picture the manufacturer substitutes a blue screen. You need to check for the following. 1) How are you getting the signal to the VCR - cable or antenna? The VCR tuner needs to be set up to match the signal. (I recommend you read your manual if you are unfamilair how to do this) 2) Check the cable that goes into the VCR - it could be bad causing a poor signal.

whats a vcr????haha anyways...if you have your vcr plugged into something besides your tv like a converter or dvd player input this could cause the tv to become blurry. Most VCRS will not record off of digital cable or sat. tuners sorry hope this helps

Sounds like you have cable, many cable company's don't let you tape shows and others only let you tape the show you are watching at the time of taping. Not much you can do about it.
