I'm visiting New York at the end of the month and would like to know the best shops to get rare, weird, unique sneakers from. Any help much appreciated.

The best store to go to is Alife Rivington, on Rivington Street which is down in the Lower East Side.
They have one-of-a-kind and specialty sneakers that you will not find anywhere else.
The last time I was there they had a pair of glow in the dark Nikes that were amazing!

There's a TON of shoe stores in Soho on Broadway. I'd say start your walk at around 8th st. and Broadway and walk south...you'll see a ton of shoe stores with a lot of unique shoes, sneakers, etc.
Also, check out vintage stores in the area.

go to soho....i was there this weekend ..there are some really kool sneaker stores down there and so much to choose from..walk on the street across from sephora there are good stores there for sneakers

You should most definitely go to SoHo!!!!! You will find lots and lots of sneaker shops!!! Start your way on 8th street and Broadway and work yourself down.
