it is the TOTAL job of every member-- to Convert, or kill!

If one does not SUBMIT to the demon called allah that person is immediately
THE ENEMY and must be Killed.

The Quaran says so;

The Verse Of The Sword from Al-Tawbah
Fight and slay the pagans (infidels) wherever ye find them, and seize them,
beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem of war." - Sura 9:5

"Prophet, make war on unbelievers and hypocrites, and deal rigorously
with them." - Sura 9:73

"Let not the unbelievers think they will ever get away. They have not
the power to do so. Muster against them all the men and cavalry at
your command, so that you may strike terror into the enemy of Allah
and your enemy... Prophet, (Mohammed) rouse the faithful to arms!
If they (the non-Muslims) incline to peace (accept Islam) make
peace with them." - Sura 8:59

"If they reject your judgement, know that it is Allah's wish to scourge
them for their sins." - Sura 5:49

"Believers (Muslims), take neither Jews nor Christians to be your
friends: they are friends with one another.
Whoever of you seeks their friendship shall become one of their number,
and Allah does not guide (those Jewish and Christian) wrong-doers." - Sura 5:51

Actually, the Muslim religion is probably one of the most amazingly tolerant religions in the world. It's only the religious extremists that have gained Islam such a bad name.

To say that Muslims always try and convert people just because of some extremists, is the same as saying that all Christians try and kill blacks because the KKK did.

Well not exactly the same, but you catch my drift.

Yawn...........WHAT PART OF THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS CONVERSION IN ISLAM DON'T YOU PEOPLE UNDERSTAND. HAVE YOU EVER HAD A MUSLIM COME TO YOUR DOOR TRYING TO SPREAD THE WORD OF ISLAM? NO YOU HAVE NOT. A JEHOVAH'S WITNESS A CHRISTIAN OR TWO BUT NEVER A MUSLIM I GRANTEE IT. I HAVE NEVER TRIED TO CONVERT ANYONE. FOR WHAT PURPOSE. IF YOU KNEW ANYTHING ABOUT ISLAM YOU WOULD KNOW IT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE TO MUSLIMS IF YOU ARE A NON BELIEVER OR NOT, WE ALL HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT OUR OWN SELVES ON JUDGMENT DAY. THERE IS NO COMPULSION OR NO FORCING PEOPLE TO BECOME MUSLIM IT SIMPLY IS NOT PART OF OUR FAITH. GOT THAT. WHERE IS YOUR PROOF THAT WE ARE TRYING TO CONVERT PEOPLE? WHERE? NO WHERE THAT'S WHERE!!

that person who calls himself whynotaskdon knows nothing about Islam. He just says nonsense. He translates Qur'an as he likes. Nobody believes him please. The prophet Mohamed lived with Jewish in Madina in peace until they breach their covenant and tried to open Madina to the people who came to kill Muslims and there is a verse says in its meaning don't ever force someone to be Muslim just tell him and he has the choice so we tell all people about Islam so as not to anybody to say to Allah on The Day of Resurrection " nobody told me about Islam

Just as Christians feel that it is their responsibility to spread the message of the Gospel, Muslims too think that it is our responsibility to spread the glad tidings brought by Muhammad (peace be upon him), the last and seal of prophets. However, make no mistake - we have never and will never force or impose our religion on non-Muslims because God forbid us from doing that. Concerning this matter, the great Muslim scholar Imam Ibnu Kathir (God be pleased with him) writes:

No Compulsion in Religion

Allah (The God) said,

[لاَ إِكْرَاهَ فِى الدِّينِ]

(There is no compulsion in religion), meaning, "Do not force anyone to become Muslim, for Islam is plain and clear, and its proofs and evidence are plain and clear. Therefore, there is no need to force anyone to embrace Islam. Rather, whoever Allah directs to Islam, opens his heart for it and enlightens his mind, will embrace Islam with certainty. Whoever Allah blinds his heart and seals his hearing and sight, then he will not benefit from being forced to embrace Islam.''

It was reported that the Ansar were the reason behind revealing this Ayah, although its indication is general in meaning. Ibn Jarir recorded that Ibn `Abbas said [that before Islam], "When (an Ansar) woman would not bear children who would live, she would vow that if she gives birth to a child who remains alive, she would raise him as a Jew. When Banu An-Nadir (the Jewish tribe) were evacuated [from Al-Madinah], some of the children of the Ansar were being raised among them, and the Ansar said, `We will not abandon our children.' Allah revealed,

[لاَ إِكْرَاهَ فِى الدِّينِ قَد تَّبَيَّنَ الرُّشْدُ مِنَ الْغَيِّ]

(There is no compulsion in religion. Verily, the right path has become distinct from the wrong path.)''

Abu Dawud and An-Nasa'i also recorded this Hadith. As for the Hadith that Imam Ahmad recorded, in which Anas said that the Messenger of Allah said to a man,

«أَسْلِم»

قَالَ: إِنِّي أَجِدُنِي كَارِهًا قَالَ:

«وَإِنْ كُنْتَ كَارِهًا»

("Embrace Islam.'' The man said, "I dislike it.'' The Prophet said, "Even if you dislike it.'')

First, this is an authentic Hadith, with only three narrators between Imam Ahmad and the Prophet . However, it is not relevant to the subject under discussion, for the Prophet did not force that man to become Muslim. The Prophet merely invited this man to become Muslim, and he replied that he does not find himself eager to become Muslim. The Prophet said to the man that even though he dislikes embracing Islam, he should still embrace it, `for Allah will grant you sincerity and true intent.'

Peace and Love.

I know tons of Muslims and not one of them has tried to convert me. Sounds like you're generalizing or don't know what you're talking about!
