So, you have taken approx. 2-3 pills a day? (55 pills over 21 days?).
No, I don't think that is excessive. Call the doctor and talk to them. There may be a better pain medication for you that would control your pain longer.
Make sure you drink plenty and try to eat high fiber so that the pain pills don't constipate you. That's the LAST thing you need when you are trying to pass a kidney stone.

I have PCOS and 14 kidney stones. I take motrin for the pain. You should probably go back to your doctor if the pain pills are not helping because they may need to operate depending on how large your kidney stones are. I know when my kidney stones act up putting a heating pad on my back helps alot. good luck to you and trust me I can sympathize with you because I have been going through the same thing for the past 5 years however without pain meds...

Hydrocodone is the same pain relief as two max. strength excedrin.
To dissolve your kidney stones, go the the health food store and get a pint of unsweetened cranberry concentrate. Mix 8 ounces with a gallon water . Drink 8 ounces before every meal and between each meal.
Cranberry is acidic and will help dissolve the stones. It flushes out the poisons in your system.

hydrocodone is pretty heavy duty, I very much doubt he will give you any more than he already has. Besides pain meds are not designed to make the pain go away, they are only designed to make the pain bearable. If the ct showed that the stones were small enough for you to pass, you need to be drinking large amounts of water and moving about to pass them quickly. Taking drugs and being a couch potato isn't going to help you.

I couldn't just sit around and do nothing like my doctors suggested.
They didn't want me to do anything or to take herbs or herbal remedies, but I had to try something - they just wanted me to do dialysis!
This program allowed me to take control of my health. I went from Stage 4 to Stage 3 kidney disease.
It was easy to do and my BUN, creatinine and anemia are all in better ranges.

Sound like you need a specialist involved, to treat the cause, instead of just the symptom. Tell your MD your concerns, and your pain control issues. Try a nephrologist for the stones and a OB/GYN surgeon for the ovarian cyst............I sympathize...both conditions hurt like hell.
