Tony Stewart is "overrated"? ::laughing:: Yeah, right...
2006 IROC Champion
2006 Missed NEXTEL Cup Chase by 16 points, then proceeded to win 30% of the Chase races
2005 NEXTEL Cup Champion
2002 Winston Cup Champion
1999 NASCAR Rookie of the Year
1997 IRL Champion
1996 IRL Rookie of the Year
1996 Inducted in the National Midget Auto Racing Hall of Fame
1995 USAC Triple Crown Champion (first driver to win Triple Crown)
1994 USAC National Midget Champion
1991 USAC Rookie of the Year
I'd really be interested to know what your definition of "Overrated" is, since it includes someone who has multiple Championships and Rookie of the Year honors...

Well, after Kahne's sophomore season ('05) bungling, I was pretty convinced he was going nowhere in a big hurry. Everyone was so hyped up about him that he became a disappointment; the only thing people could comment on was how cute he was. But last year (meaning '06) he shook off a lot of that "oh, he's pretty, but he can't drive" crap that people had piled on him, and, although I'm not a fan, I was suitably impressed. I think he'll evolve into a real force on the track.
Tony Stewart, however, I have never believed to be overrated. My husband really dislikes him, and even he has to admit that Stewart's a true wheelman. You don't rack up the accolades and trophies that Stewart has purely on charm and good looks (which many would say Stewart doesn't have in the first place!). He's a racer, and he's damn good.

Dear Jackass, Tony Stewart is not overrated. He is champion material, however, he races dirty at times. Kasey Kane is not aggressive enough. He needs to get some Tony Stewart attitude.
Denny Hamlin is a driver to watch.

Me.....Ok so they are good drivers but they are not the greatest thing to ever hit NASCAR. Most people like Kasey Cane because he is cute not because of his performance on the track. As for Tony he is a good driver and has the championships to prove but he also has alot of attitude problems which take away from his talent.

I'm not a fan of Tony Stewart, but the guy has talent. As for Kasey Kane, look how well he did last season and he is just getting started. I don't think either one of them are overrated. You want to talk about who's overrated? How about Jr.

You only asked this question to do what-get a bunch of answers right? I'm not a big fan of either one, Stewart doesn't have to prove anything...he's a talented driver, has won in a bunch of classes, sometimes with inferior equipment. Kahne is just starting out, remains to be seen.

I think Nascar fans need to get a life or job because watching cars drive in circles 400-500 times is for people with an IQ less than 25. Not even monkeys would enjoy this, they rather sling poo.
