I've had my belly button pierced for about 3months now and had an infection earlier on. Today when I was cleaning it under the bottom bit on the bar theres this really red bit thats sticking out. It's not hurting or irritating me but it's sometimes a bit itchy. Does any one know what this is and should I be worried?

just keep doing what your doing clean it well three times day.

what are u cleaning it with,??
if your not using it already use salt water, the salt will fight agenst any infection still there,

if you can take it out and squeez it just to check if any puss is inside and get it out, clean it and put bar back in,

if there is no infection at all.and it just red and itchy it may be the bar its self, it may have nickle in it, nickle rash is red and itchy, get either a 9ct gold bar, or make sure silver bars are nickle free,
i know this as im allergic to nickle, its quit common,

if none of that works go back to where you had it done or doc or just take it out.

hope advice helps

I'd keep the area clean for a week and if it does not go away go back to the piercing studio and ask them their opinion.
I got a really sensative part pierced a few weeks ago and I have been reading up on piercing care an awful lot recently.

No idea but get it checked out by a GP ASAP . Its probably nothing but is it worth risking it?
