and i'm extremely allergic to perfumes and colognes...how do I deal with this without being rude? There are no other seats in the calssroom.

It's a mixture of heavy smoke and heavy cologne..neither one of those can I handle without getting sneezy, watery eyed and kinda light headed.

Request the instructor to either move you to another seat across the room, or ask the instructor to tell the young man to go shower. Or leave the class and tell the instructor you're allergic to the young man's cologne and can't be in the same room. In any case, it is the instructor's responsibility to deal with the situation. It is his/her classroom.

Yeah you need to move seats..Be discreet..its not worth triggering your allergy..Good luck..just hope you don`t get stuck next to someone with bad B.O.!

Bring in a big bottle of Fabreeze neutralizer and just hose him down.
