How bad does it really hurt. Does it depend on where you get the tattoo, i am wanting to get it on my lower abdomen (like angelia jolie) or my foot. Can you take a muscle relaxer or pain pill before you go so it wont hurt as much.

I do not recommend using any pain pills or muscle relaxants. These often thin your blood and excessive bleeding while getting a tattoo can ruin the tattoo and also make it take longer.

lower abdomen - when you have kids, there is a chance that the tattoo will most likely stretch out and will not go back to it's original look...not saying don't do it there but something to think about if you don't have kids and such yet.

Muscle relaxers are a bad idea. Muscles help keep the skin in a tight and firm location. In some cases, strong pain killers and muscle relaxers can effect the look of the tattoo once the pill wears off. You cannot get any numbing creams that will effectively work and I doubt tattoo artists are trained to use any injected anesthesia

If you want to avoid the pain, take some Motrin or Midol and try to relax (take deep breaths, thing of something else, etc.) because the pain is part of a tattoo and its never as bad as most people think.

In my opinion, you're just working yourself up over it. Yes an area like the foot will hurt more than the butt or thigh, but after the first few minutes of tattooing, all your adrenaline kicks in and its not bad.

My dad performed hockey within the USSR for the Gorki Torpedo (now Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo, identical town unique title). He performed towards Pavel Bure as soon as, and throughout a match he was once at the identical line as Slava Kozlov. Also, he went to the identical university as Andrei Kovalenko. When my loved ones left for the United States in 1994, my dad joined the guys's league on the regional enviornment, and nonetheless does at present (he's 36). My dad and mom additionally watched the NHL plenty, and throughout the 2000 playoffs I began looking. I suggestion it was once the finest game ever, and while I heard Ohio could have a crew for the 2000-2001 season I grew to become excited and I had been a hockey fan ever considering the fact that. I began gambling in 2001, and I will regularly grasp up the skates in 2008 because of wellbeing disorders. The first NHL recreation I noticed was once for my Dad's twenty ninth birthday in January 2001. We went to Pittsburgh to observe the Penguins play the Thrashers. It was once a first-rate enjoy for me, one I will by no means disregard. Pittsburgh received five-a million that day.

It all really depends on your pain tolerance. I've heard that the foot hurts lile hell. And can only imagine the tummy.ouch. Most respectable places prefur you have no drugs of any kind in your system when getting a tattoo. you could bleed more, etc during the process.
Hope this helps and good luck!

If you can't handle the pain you don't deserve the ink. Just as plain as that. Foot hurts quite a bit and belly is just not a great place for women to get ink but it will hurt a little less. It all hurts! It is not a hug. But you can handle it. I think the noise is the worst part. Don't take anything before hand, just make sure you have had a good meal and a good nights sleep. Bring a soda with you to keep your sugar levels up and you will be good to go.

Don't bother taking any pain pills. Its hurts a bit at first, but you get used to it because its a constant pain. Yeah, it hurts, but nothing to get all nervous about. The pain is part of the process, and its temporary. Just go for it, and afterward, you'll already be planning your next tattoo.

Generally speaking, the thinner the skin, the more painful. Also, areas at the ends of extremities tend to have more nerve endings, thus more pain receptors (hands, feet). A pain killer probably wouldn't offer much relief to an acute area until after the tattoo. Now a shot of Novacaine would help, but those are a little tough to come by. It's sore, but definitely survivable.

i have several.. and the foot was the most painful (even worse than my lower back.) i also have my pelvis done and that wasnt too bad. i have cat claws, so whenever i decide to have babies, my cat claws will look like bear claws when im pregnant!
i dont see why you couldnt take painkillers prior.. unless they make your blood thinner... then you wouldnt want to take them. good luck!
