1. No. Cute is often considered 'okay' or 'good'. Sexy and hot are only used for the desperate who definitely are commenting only on how you look, and want to just do the deed and leave... Beautiful, on the other hand, is not just a woman's looks, but her personality... just basically everything about her. 2. There are some differences, but not in the pretext of what you described about another guy saying to another guy that a girl is beautiful, when the first guy said she was beautiful: it's usually the same level of beauty. If I do happen to see a beautiful woman up close, I'd definitely say she's beautiful, not 'hot' or 'sexy'.

It all depends on the guy really. But most of em will tell a girl what ever they want to hear to get what ever they want. My husband tells me I am beautiful all the time and never wants anything.

Yes of course he means it. He means to say that the girl is beautiful, he does not mean that he likes her. He could be just saying she is beautiful in a objective perspective :)
