I was on Lipitor for three years. I suffered from: sore muscles, tiredness, agitation, digestion problems and anxiety. Finally my liver started to flare up and my doctor took me off of Lipitor.

WHAT A BLESSING! I feel 100 times better now than ever before!

To cut down on cholesterol naturally, I now take Bios Life. A natural fiber based product that is the ONLY one proven to lower cholesterol and backed by the Cleveland Clinic. Lost ten lbs. too!

These guys who say do it the natural way are talking sense. I myself have been taking Atorvastatin for qite some time and have had no probs at all and has reduced my cholestral levels to normal. Reading in my various heath mags I get monthly there are mixed views on statins, they help some and not others, however there are other types of statins, maybee you are on the wrong one, see your doctor for help.

Eat a low-cholesterol, low-fat diet. This kind of diet includes cottage cheese, fat-free milk, fish (not canned in oil), vegetables, poultry, egg whites, and polyunsaturated oils and margarines (corn, safflower, canola, and soybean oils). Avoid foods with excess fat in them such as meat (especially liver and fatty meat), egg yolks, whole milk, cream, butter, shortening, lard, pastries, cakes, cookies, gravy, peanut butter, chocolate, olives, potato chips, coconut, cheese (other than cottage cheese), coconut oil, palm oil, and fried foods.
Please see the web pages for more details on Atorvastatin (generic name) Lipitor (brand name)

Lipitor is not the only medication for cholesterol and if they make you ill, you definitely should not be taking them. Ask your doctor for something else.
