Even though the Chinese Algae Eater is commonly sold in pet shops, we do not sell the fish because of the aggressive nature. This fish is not that great at removing algae, and because it preys on fish, causes stress and the fish die from being eaten by the algae eater or the stress of the algae eater bothering them. The Chinese Algae Eater can reach at least 5" long. You will find that if overfeeding and over lighting are prevented, algae can be kept at bay. Goldfish love to eat live plants. Some recommendations are anacharis and horn wort. Both are excellent oxygenators and great at removing nitrites from the water. Algae grows excessive when there is too much light and food present. Have fun with your fish.

it,s an urban legend it has done its round for many years it originally started off in a restaraunt in thailand a couple go in with pet dog an ask waiter if they can feed the dog while they eat because of the language barrier the thai,s thought they wanted erm u guessed it poor poochy the couple had no idea what they were eatin until they recieved bill with dog collar on plate so u can engage in a conversation with ur wee man now kids eh u gotta love em :-)xx
