I went to Best Denki and saw a Dixel 37" LCD at a very reasonal price. I need some advice to see if it is worth buying..

Yeah, if you need or want a new tv, its really up to you though.

sure if you live on the couch, they last 4-5 years at most and the bill is crazy, but las a bit longer then plasma screens do, it's also a goo idea to get a good guarntee on it, those are new products and a few bugs here and there so extend the warntee

if by very reasonable you mean under $500, yes. if not wait for another year or two when the cable, and television companies decide what they are going to do.
