I just had a blue mole removed from my back. Very small, looked lacy, irreg. No lumps just flat. Any ideas?

It actually shrunk by about four times it's size in the last few months. I recently went to the docs for my physical and she noticed it and wanted to biopsy it. It was very small and flat. I never would have guessed it was a mole. It itched also. It looked more like a lacy tattoo than a mole. It went deeper into the skin than above the skin. Two stitches. I've been very curious about it and will see the doc again in a week.
