Any suggestions on how to aleive the calf pain I get from jogging. I jog on Treadmills for about 30 minutes. I vary speed and incline. I don't think it's my shoes. I am 5'10" and 204 lbs.

If it is not the shoes, then you are probably starting out to fast at first. you need to warm up first and stretch the calves muscles if they are tight then the shin take to stress of the jogging, calves act like a shock absorber for them so they need to be stretched out. also try www.runnwersworld.com they have a section in running injures and how to alieve and prevent them

I would let them heal and as that process is happening I would find a better running shoe. Also you might want to try running outside! I run outside 95% of the time and have no problems but when I run on my treadmill my shins and calfs hurt in only a few minutes.
I do agree you need to warm your muscles up, maybe jog a mile then stretch all of your leg muscles 20 sec. each then complete your jog or run. You will feel much better and you will get faster.
Good luck...

Well shin splints are actually tiny fractures in the bone, usually under the calf muscle. Really you have to let them heal.

It's common if you jog a lot to get them. You should ease up and let them heal thoroughly and then just go easy. Why not walk rapidly rather than jog...same results and no shin splints.

I get the same shin splints... genetically flat feet, contributes to this problem (don't know if you have this, happens to me).

Try cycling... it's low impact as suggested by a previous answer.
