Yes, you should be concerned. Numbness can indicate a heart condition, or the precursor to a stroke. At the very least it is unusual and should be examined by a physician.

You may have cervical disc damage causing neuropathic pain - numbing of fingers and hands. Go to the doctor and get a referral for an MRI.

a friend of mines sister died a few ago. about 4 days before she had a massive heart attack she was complaining about some pain in her left arm. It is better to be safe than sorry. Go have it checked out.

Well, I've grown fond of my digits over the years, so yes, I'd be worried. Perhaps a doctor's visit, for xrays, is in order.
