Oh, I might have the perfect spot! It's very romantic because not lots of people visit and it's cheap! The only thing you might have to spend a little more on would be the plane ticket unless you're driving, well it still might be alittle expensive. Anyways I'm talking about south texas! A beach town called South Padre Island! It's beautiful at this time. Lots of great hotels, cheap and affordable! There are two nearby cities with airports (Harlingen & McAllen). Mcallen is farther, but you'd be able to see a bit more of the area. If not you can fly to harlingen and the beach is just 30-40 minutes away. It might be alittle full on the weekends, but not nearly as close as florida or other hotspots! You might want to getonline and find out when there is market days or other stuff for couples!
GOOD LUCK & Happy Vacation!

Between a romantic and affordable option I would definitely recommend areas around Cancun.
The Mayan Ruins, for example, are beautiful and the beaches, unlike, for example, Cozumel and the Bahamas (other places cheap to travel to from the US), are quite unspoiled and not riddled with trash, tourists, and long lines.
In addition most the kind of options available in places like Hawaii (snokelling, sailing, cave swimming, exotic foods) are available...the only caution is bring your own water or filter since water there is not always fresh.
The trick is to take a last-minute cruise deal (IE an empty cabin where someone cancelled a reservation). This can easily run under $300 per person round trip and often cruise lines arrange special trips, for example snokelling, for you and include nightlife entertainment and free food on board. The reason cruise lines can afford last minute deals is they are forced between losing some money on a cheap customer or losing much more money by having no customer (IE leaving an empty cabin for the trip).
If your budget is a bit higher, I'd suggest Morrocco (which is still cheap compared to places like Hawaii (even including flights), mainly because so few people know about it). Not only do they have some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, exotic cuisine and shops, and unspoiled wilderness....but also, due to the desert climate being only in some areas and not others you can, for example, go skiing and mountain biking, to forests, on camel back, and to tropical beaches all on the same vacation.

The little island that comes to my mind is Vieques, PR. Vieques is a little island right off the coast of Puerto Rico indeed is a municipality of PR. The marines had taken this little paradise just for themselfs but now that the US marine is gone and everybody is traveling over there. I just visit the Island last November with my husband and we love it. The americans are running the island now and they have a whole bunch of cute places to eat right on the beach, in one day you can visit more than 7 beaches. You will need to fly to PR and then take a 40 minute ferry to Vieques. Check out a great hotel there call " Martinique bay spa and beach resort" It belongs to the windham chain of hotels. is great.. I stay there and is very romantic they even have a jacuzzy right on your room. The island just have about 900 habitants and the beaches are almost empty. Check that site below is cool!!!!

How much are you willing to spend?
I have been to many vacation spots including Hawaii. I HIGHLY recommend visiting Hawaii. I believe there are 8 islands. I have been lucky enough to visit, Oahu, Kauai and Maui. Oahu was more like a city, although it was extremely beautiful it is built like a city, Jack in the box on every corner...etc....Maui was a more private but expensive. Although it too has city like qualities its a great place to visit. If you are look for seclusion, and true to its culture go to Kauai. This is the most beautiful place on earth. You can drive around the entire island in less than an hour, plenty of non crowded beaches and the people are so pleasant and nice. I also found that Kauai is closest to the culture of the Hawaiian people. The floral and the views are to die for. The downside, is it is on the expensive side. If your looking for a cheaper version of Hawaii go to Oahu other wise Kauai is the best place. I have also been to Cozumel, Cancun, Florida and Hawaii is truly a place everyone should visit once in their life time.

If you are looking for something affordable and in the country, try the Outer Banks in NC. My husband and I love it there. We stayed on Hatteras Island, and it is nothing short of amazing! Very relaxing, romantic, and not too crowded. We especially loved the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse (outstanding view!) And just a ferry ride away (free when we went) is Ocracoke Island...it's nice for a day trip and the beaches are fantastic...If you want a place with more to do, try Nags Head, which is a little farther north in the Outer Banks. Lots of nice shops, activities, etc. If OBX interests you, make sure to check the weather though. We were there in May and temps were in low 70's which is a little chilly for swimming. Good luck!

South Beach, Miami. Fabulous beaches, lots to do and see. Many romantic little cafes and bistros. Fairly and surprisingly inexpensive to stay there--try the Art Deco district for some really fun, quaint, and romantic little hotels that are still only about a block from the beach. My fiance' took me there on our first trip away together and it remains one of our favorite places to visit---and we travel a LOT! We go several times a year. Bring your rollerblades if you're a skater--it is a fun way to see everything. If you're renting a car--rent a Mustang or other convertible for the most fun while driving. Best breakfast place? Try the News Cafe--open 24 hours a day--great place to see the beautiful people on Ocean Drive. Great cappuccinos and croissants. If you are going to go clubbing, though, bring lots of cash and some stylin' clothes if you want to get in anywhere. We love Mango's--a Salsa Club on Ocean Drive--great mojitos and the dancers are amazing to watch. Have fun!
No disrespect intended, but I noticed there are a lot of answers telling you to go to Sanibel Island, FL. Well, don't. I just got done living there for the last two years because my fiance' was working down there and it is a muggy bug-infested hellhole. I have never been so happy to move away from somewhere. There are these tiny bugs called no-see-um's there that dig into your skin and make you itch like mad--especially anywhere it is sandy. They are also called sand fleas. I didn't see any romance there--just a lot of work for us and lots of damaged houses and hotels from 2004's Hurricane Charlie. All these people who say it is so romantic must have spent a whole lot of time in their hotel room and not so much on the beach if you know what I mean. There are other areas of Florida that are much much prettier and less buggy. I live in Treasure Island, FL now--Tampa Bay area and further north. No bugs--and also a romantic and less expensive place to see. Less to do than South Beach, though.

Why don't you be romantic and original, go to Dominica!! Not the Dominican Republic but Dominica. One of the smallest islands in the caribbean but it's also the most natural. Meaning they didn't to too much building and leveling of the island. It's only got about 75,000 people on it but it has 365 rivers, they say it's one for each day of the year!! lol. I went in november and it was lovely and I don't just say that cuz it's where I'm from. It's hot and has beautiful lush trees and bright beautiful flowers because it's a rainforest vegetation is in abundance. The scuba diving is amazing! And there are so many hidden treasures. Try googling Trafalger falls or the Emerald pool, or the boiling lake in Dominica and you'll see. But if you really wanna know what it looks like check out the Pirates of the Caribbean 2. The majority of it was shot in Dominica. Hope this helps, enjoy.

To my view. The good vacation spot is the not the one in which you have to spend a lot of money. It can be any where . for example. You can have a good time spending time for having a walk in the evening sunset holding the hands. If you want really go to a spot. Select a silent natural environment where couples can spend alone with each other through which they can have a understanding and can know the betterment of each other.Apart from this if you want to go out and enjoy life in a vacation spot. I would suggest you Switzerland. Because this is the best time to be there

Try going to the Bahamas. It's a great time of year becasue there are not as many people there now after the holidays.
Or better still, take a cruise to the Bahamas or to the Caribbean.
They're cheap enough usually about a hundred bucks a day for each person and you get terrific food and activities as well as a traveling hotel!
