Nothing. I do not accept things without evidence, and if you have evidence, it's not belief.

There are three things I hold as valid, but I do not consider them 'true'. In fact, because they are axiomic, that means they cannot be proven. They are simply the rules of the game, as it were:

1. Mathematics and logic are valid. Truth is an inherantly logical proposition. Without logic, the truth-value of any fact could never be known, there would be no way to distinguish between a true fact and a false fact. Without logic, knowledge would be unattainable.

2. Observations, unaided and aided, are valid. However, aided observations must be supported by prior observations and mathematics. For example, before the theory of optics was discovered, a microscope would have been invalid; but through study of unaided observations of lenses and beams of light, the theory of optics was mathematically formulated, so the microscope is valid. A crystal gazing ball is still invalid, but if a way to define the effect mathematically and in a way that could be verified with unaided observations was found, it would become valid as well. Without being able to trust our observations, we could aquire no data on which to operate, and thus knowledge would be unattainable.

3. The supernatural, if it exists (note: no statement is made of its existence or non-existence, just a conditional), does not in any way interact with the natural world. If a supernatural involvement can be had, then nothing can be assured as true. If the deity that oversees gravity decides to change the universal gravitational constant, for example, all things we know will suddenly be invalid, and thus knowledge could not be attained.

It is important to recognize that none of these things is considered true; they are axioms. An axiom is a statement that must be accepted or not accepted on its own merits. However, as each of them can be shown to be necessary for knowledge, one must either accept these three things, or, one must accept that nothing at all can be known, let alone known to be true or false. So these axioms must be 'accepted' or 'held' to attain knowledge, even though their axiomic nature means they themselves cannot be proven.

I believe in God's existence and I believe that Islam is the last religion of God (Allah).

The great Muslim scholar Imam Ibnu Kathir (God be pleased with him) writes:

Signs of Allah's (The God) Existence

Several scholars of Tafsir (exegesis and interpretation of the holy Quran), like Ar-Razi and others, used these Ayat (verse) as an argument for the existence of the Creator, and it is a most worthy method of argument. Indeed, whoever ponders over the things that exist, the higher and lower creatures, their various shapes, colors, behavior, benefits and ecological roles, then he will realize the ability, wisdom, knowledge, perfection and majesty of their Creator. Once a bedouin was asked about the evidence to Allah's existence, he responded, "All praise is due to Allah! The camel's dung testifies to the existence of the camel, and the track testifies to the fact that someone was walking. A sky that holds the giant stars, a land that has fairways and a sea that has waves, does not all of this testify that the Most Kind, Most Knowledgeable exists''

Hence, whoever gazes at the sky in its immensity, its expanse, and the various kinds of planets in it, some of which appear stationary in the sky - whoever gazes at the seas that surround the land from all sides, and the mountains that were placed on the earth to stabilize it, so that whoever lives on land, whatever their shape and color, are able to live and thrive - whoever reads Allah's statement,

(And among the mountains are streaks white and red, of varying colours and (others) very black. And likewise, men and Ad-Dawabb (moving (living) creatures, beasts) and cattle are of various colours. It is only those who have knowledge among His servants that fear Allah) (35: 27-28).

Whoever thinks about the running rivers that travel from area to area bringing benefit, whoever ponders over what Allah has created on earth; various animals and plants of different tastes, scents, shapes and colors that are a result of unity between land and water, whoever thinks about all of this then he will realize that these facts testify to the existence of the Creator, His perfect ability, wisdom, mercy, kindness, generosity and His overall compassion for His creation. There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, nor is there a Lord besides Him, upon Him we rely and to Him we turn in repentance. There are numerous Ayat in the Qur'an on this subject.

God knows best

Peace and Love.

Raghunath was a wealthy man. He was rich materially and spiritually. One night he was robbed. His close friend visited him and expressed his sympathy.

Raghunath said, "They have robbed me of my material wealth but not my real wealth. They have robbed me of my perishable wealth but not my imperishable wealth".

Real wealth is love, devotion and purity. With these, one will experience life differently. God gives us problems to humble us and not to tumble us. When bad things happen to good people they become better, not bitter.

Raghunath further elaborated to his friend, "All the wealth that I had was a loan from the Lord. I was only a trustee. Nothing is mine; everything is His. He has the right to take it whenever he wants".

The power of detachment is a great wealth. The power of devotion is an asset. Why don't we work for such wealth? This is because the mind has not been purified.

With impure mind one craves for impure things. With pure mind one is committed for pure things. Mantras help us to purify the mind. Yoga uplifts. Wealth and power without pure mind is like providing a knife to a mad man. He can even kill himself.

The object of yoga is to free you of psychological mess. The condition of your mind really determines the quality of your life.

To a good body, everyone says 'yes'. But to a good mind, people say 'no'. This ignorance is adversely affecting the quality of life.

Our mind has the capacity to imagine. This can be good or bad. Our imagination projects a reality. This projected reality appears to be the only reality. This projected reality is superimposed on the external reality.

The internal projected reality is superimposed on the external reality. Now the external reality is not seen and only the projected reality is seen. It is in this confusion that one lives and suffers.

purify the mind.

If we leave un-checked this imaginary processes, they become mechanical. A negative system is created. These negative systems in turn take over our lives. We lose control.

You will become more unconscious and suffer from this mechanical process. For example, if one goes on seeing unpleasant things in life, it becomes a habit.

Then a negative system is created. Then one will helplessly see the negative. The system will start justifying why one is doing what one is doing.

The system will try to protect itself. The system gets into a survival mode. Then you will not live in the cosmos but in chaos.

Yoga is a wonderful science to dismantle this negative system and create a great inner order. When the inner world of our mind is orderly then we will see the external order as being more orderly.

"Say: we believe in God and in what has been revealed to us, and what was revealed to Abraham, Isma'il: Isaac, Jacob and The Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus and the Prophets, from their Lord: We make no distinction between one and another, among them, and to God do we bow our will (in Islam)." (Qur'an, Al-Imran 3:84) The point here God love us all the same.
