Our government is definitely refusing to enforce immigration laws for those sneaking across our southern border. They are not prosecuting the human traffikers, not fining employers hiring illegal aliens, not fining and jailing illegals using false identification, etc. They are not allowing units of local government to have any control of illegal immigration problems. We need to vote every Senator and Representative out who has wanted "reform" of laws. In 1986, the laws were reformed and amnesty was given. Those laws were not enforced and there is no reason to believe new laws will be enforced. We should demand enforcement of our laws, and make them answer why they refuse to enforce them.

It is neither strange nor double standards. US jails all illegals, except Mexico. Probably Canada also. Illegals from Mexico are just deported straight. Only because Mexico is a neighboring country. Illegals from other countries, like China, cannot be deported straight away. If too many Chinese illegals are caught, US may deport them also straight, for financial and logistical reasons.

Actually, many people do successfully immigrate illegally through boats. But when they do get caught, it is a big news story because in many cases the immigrants have been in a storage container for weeks.

I think no matter who you are, you should be arrested for traveling to the US illegally. In the days of Ellis Island, the immigrants came here legally and todays illegals say they have the same rights, well they do, but they need to do it the same way, LEGALLY.

If it wasn't for our ancestors and I'm speaking for all races,USA wouldn't have had their railroad tracks build by the Chinese, their plantations tended to by the Africans, their labor jobs ,their children cared for by Mexicans,Cubans,Puerto Ricans,Guatemalans, etc. The Irish, the Koreans, the Vietnamese they all helped build this country.I'm sorry If I excluded any race that deserves credit. It just makes me angry when I read questions like the one up above.Any comments?Or am I the only one that feels this way. Most of these immigrants work the jobs that nobody wants for less than minimum wage.I read that these "immigrants" bring billions of dollars into our economy, yes they do send money home but remember our country is reaping the rewards.Next time you sit down in your table to eat thank the immigrants for picking the vegetables and the fruits that you are being served. It is their sweat that brings such a wide variety of food to your local grocers.

Its part of a plan by the Democrats, especially the Hispanic Caucus to make instant voters out of them. Congressman Solomon Ortiz (D) TX is more concerned with protecting Mexican citizens than the US laws he's sworn to uphold. He no longer makes a pretence of being unbiased.

I just wish that the law would be enforced consistently. Inconsistent enforcement is equivalent to racism if the laws are enforced for one group of people but not another.
Either enforce the law, or change it then enforce it. Or just repeal it all together. Just make it consistent.
