How can I personally convince Islamic Militants that peace is better than killing?

There exists Muslim militants because of misinterpretation of the religion on their part. To God they will return and God alone judges best.

Anyway, just ask yourself could anyone have convinced the Crusaders or Pope Urban back then that peace is better than war?

Show them the verses in the Quran that they say instructs them to kill innocent people, you won't find any. Those verses that do talk about warfare you need to put in context and explain to them under what conditions.

maybe join AID and go to the middle east and conduct communications, negotiations and peace-making seminars.
there are people doing it i think they work for AID, but you
could try NGOs doing similar things.

mediation, reflective listening, empathy etc.
then teach it to people in the middle east.
even if the "islamic militatants" don't come their
mothers sisters, sons, fathers, sisters etc will and
