Through a bizarre sequence of events, I have come into possesion of a goose. The goose is angry, wilful and rude. To be honest, I am considering eating the bird. However, his presence is required at a cocktail party in Sevenoaks where he is to entertain some local dignitaries.
What is the best way to transport this goose with a minimum of fuss and to ensure he doesn't become overly irate?

Just to clear something up -The goose isn't to be killed for the party, it is required to walk around and amuse guests.

Eating the goose will probably be a disappointment. Unless they are grain fed by force they don't have a lot of meat on them. Mostly just feathers!
What possible entertainment value does a goose have for dignitaries? Other than hissing, neck stretching ( but not the type they should have done) and crapping on the lawn, steps and anywhere else they feel is Ok I don;t see the attraction.

To take geese to shows a large pet carrier is used. These can be hired from a vets store for a reasonable fee. As for its agression, not much you can do there, its natural for geese to act like that with people who were not in their world when they were goslings growing into adults. Training it by hand feeding it to gain trust is a long process. Easier to take it to a local lake and release it or put it down .

The answer to all your problems here is to transport the goose in a pastry case with a blanket of fois gras smothered on its chest - as in 'goose a la croute'. I think this will a) keep it quiet and b) entertain your dignitaries far better than a lot of pointless honking.

Tie a piece of string around the goose neck, tie the other end to your car and let it fly there. It will be very co-operative on arrival.

catch it then put a bag over its head to calm it. Transport it in a cage or something well ventilated.

Kill it, butcher it, then freeze it your freezer. Then, in a vehicle use ice in an ice box. Good luck
