It's television for goodness sake! That's the lesson you have to understand between reality and fantasy on tv. Ask yourself... why do you think television put attractive people there? Simple... to sell what they want to sell. I mean sure... watch a couple of attractive firemen on tv... and they'll have you brainwashed by the fact that 'ALL' firemen are attractive in reality. Actually NOT TRUE!
The truth is attractive people sell their product on tv. Think about CSI Miami or New York. I mean you get the thinking... "Wow... a lot of attractive people are in Miami and New York." Then you try to hitch a ride there to start a new life.
But the truth is... tv is selling what people want to see in Miami or New York. It's like selling yourself to have MORE people come to your place such as Miami or New York. Sometimes you'll buy the products there or go shopping or frequently visit places you want to see... just to get that cash flow going.
Remember it's all about making money. The same thing goes for car manufacters selling their products on big screen movies. Think of BMW or Mercedes, etc. I mean some people can't resist a James Bond driving a BMW. So some reality fool goes out to buy one. Simple advertising. Another example... beauty product commercials. I mean you see thousands and thousands of them every time you click on the tv. Always beautiful women there... ALWAYS. So ask yourself... what is its purpose? To have you buy into their beauty products so you can look like them. It's to indulge you in what you 'feel' you can't have. This is part of understanding something in CONSUMER CULTURE like America. Understand that America isn't alone... France, China, Japan, Australia... well the almost the entire world does it.
I hope you learned your lesson.

well. I live in Los Angeles California and when you past by a fire house and see those cats they are in Shape and since this is Hollywood out here the FireFighters are always trying to look GQ Besides that FireFighters are really in shape dispite you seeing them with a little gut and all.. they have to be in shape to hit those stairs when we have fires believe me you. My dad use to be a fireman and he is 54 years old and still in shape. at 6'3" 275 lbs

I think it's just t .v. My best friends dad is a firefighter and he's mostly in shape. I mean you have to be to do everything they do. But not every firefighter is the best looking guy alive. I think t.v. exaggerates how they really look.

People on tv are not an accurate portrayal of what humans look like in real life. and to tell you the truth if I am trapped in a fire, i don't care if the fireman looked like a winged monkey fromthe wizard of oz.

Remember that TV is for oddly cool and good things. You can see the "raw meat" but in the reality, it is all "fatty". LOL
It is like the series Baywatch. All this well fit and good looking people... in the reality is not "necessarily" like that LOL.

I guess it depends on where you live. I've got some pretty hot firemen in my local FD, but about twenty miles down the road they are all fat redneck country boys!

TV tends to overly glamorize everything. Who would want to watch grody fireman on tv, when you can look at hotties. That show would get zero ratings.
