Look at the back of lads mags like FHM or activity companies...
ie skydiving, swim with shark (some aquariums do that), clay pigeon shoot. Look for something budget wise and then track it down to cut out 'middleman' note some may have transport issues if in the sticks.

Guys tend to like empowering tools (inc weapons but bad idea)
Anything sex based (hence asking your age)
Some wild activity where he gets adventure and can boast Oh I did that.... plus adrenaline.
Think jetskiing could be fun... plus you can do the ' if I am having trouble with my wetsuit could you help it on or off' routine etc.

First Sun of Month is Jelly Wrestling... Have word with the jelly wrestlers and head barman mentioning the birthday and wanting to treat BF... (ie fix the raffle as a guy gets in the pit with the two bikini clad girls) or they may just do a birthday boy specail.
Then you (having got bikini on later join in)
The crowd will love it (3 girls), he will bloody love it (and owe you big time)
And think American Pie frat party... Its not in the least bit serious or pervey more funny as **** especially if a mate (female so photos dont go astray) takes photos)
And cheap.
Bit like those old sat morning tv gunge competitions when you were a kid in jelly.
Not to mention him being able to brag about that to mates..
Firebox had this laser tag game and remote control tanks where whn shot you get a electric shock (guys like competitive stuff like that)
PS Can you two think of ways of cleaning off the jelly after?

Take him to a upcoming Bhangra competition/event...or you can have a party, have some Bhangra at the party instead of your typical hip hop/pop music. Invite a bunch of friends that you know will bhangra...put on a short 2 minute bhangra show...hope everything works out

get him a really nice watch. my mom got my dad one and he really likes it. its about a $150 watch, but its a dive watch and he loves to scuba dive. But if your wanting something romanitic , i would say something like u suggested. Or maybe u 2 could go on a mini vacation and could drive somewhere. I guess you live in London, but I live in Oklahoma, so i would go maybe up to Tulsa and go to the Boardwalk at dusk, or go to Dallas and do something. Maybe a really nice dinner.

Why dont you create a new card with everything in it? Stories of the memories. Quotes related to you or other. Add the best of pictures of you guys in it. So it will be kept forever.
