I think you should be ready to get married. it is not something you should give away to the first boyfriend or man to ask you. I'm not saying it doesn'y get better with practice but for women especialy you need some one who realy cares for you. men will often say the love you just to get your pants down. I was 16 the first time and thibk that was to young.

In the recent past, in the USA, it was not all that unusual for females to marry at the ages of 13 to 16. Even a few 12 year olds were betrothed.

As we look at the past we DO see a much higher death rate at an early age.

As human life expectancy increased we saw the marriage age rise.

Not that losing virginity requires marriage but that virginity is easier to loose, in a societal contaxt, when one is married.

Depending upon emotional maturity level, I can foresee first-time-sex at 13 years. It would be nice of the guy/girl were married. The friction between mucous membranes resulting in raw unadulterated primal pleasure can be quite intense during the early teens. Why not go for it?

well theres no real age but it think it lies in how mature you are and if your ready for the responablitly on wht happens after! you have to be prepared and know what your doin also know wht to do in an accident haapens! it has to be your own choice not because you want to make someone else happy or all you friends are doing. once its gone you will never ever get it back!so becareful, there alot of things tht could happen the guy could just use u for sex and move on to the next girl or you might get pregant or catch a std, and so on so it doesnt matter on the age but i think tht the person should be emotionally and mentally perpared for the out come and be very mature because it can efffect the rest of your life in the long run!! i think it SHOULD be 17 and above but you would be surprised at the 11 and 12yrs old havin sex now a day!

You can be as old as you want to be to loose your virginity. Ever one is different and every one looses their virginity at a different age. Do what's best you think is for you. You know what, now that I look back on the time I lost mine I was 17. I'm not with that man and it was just sex. Don't ponder over this one too much. Enjoy life, that's what your here for.

That all depend on you and how you feel. Some people are raised to wait until they are married and actually stick with it. I lost mine at 17. But i knew it was i wanted. I was with the guy for a long time, and i trusted him, You have to trust the person your with and know that you wont regret it after the fact. You'll know when your ready. Don't let anyone pressure you, and do what feels right. Just remember you're going to be the one who has to live with your decision the next day. Hope this helps

It's not at all a matter of age. It's a matter of maturity.

Sex takes relationships to another level, and if you're not prepared to deal with that change, then there's nothing wrong with remaining a virgin until you are.

My wife was a virgin when we first started going out, and she said the reason that she had sex with me is because I made her feel safe and she knew she wouldn't regret it later. I'd say that if you can't say the same of any given man, then don't do it!

Also, don't let anyone pressure you. It's your gift to give, so don't give it to the wrong guy for the wrong reasons.

Whenever you are mature enough, meaning you are not embarrassed to go to the drug store and buy some condoms or to go to Planned Parenthood to get birth control and even tested for STDs. There is no right age, many 21 year olds can't even do that, but if you can at 13 more power to you. Maturity knows no age.

I'm not sure there is a certain age I feel when you feel you're ready that's when. Not because you feel like you like the other person and it will make them happy. If you make the mistake of giving it up too early after-wards you will feel terrible like I did. That's' something very special and you only get to loose it once make sure your mature enough and its the right time.

I think you should be at least 17. I'm 19 and still haven't lost mine. It's just a matter of time, whenever your ready is the best. Please! When you do, have it with a person that you love or can trust.
