If I were you I would simply go to a nearest second-hand store of kid's clothes and ask moms what they think of it. It's your target audience, and this little survey can give you a lot of food for thought.

Hmmm, I'm not going to say it's not a good idea...I just wonder if parents would bite. First of all, you have the whole germ/sanitation issue. You would have to have some way to sterilize/disinfect the toys and assure parents the toys are clean. Also, you have to worry about wear and tear and kids (parents) losing the toys.

On the other hand, it's not a bad idea because kids tend to get bored with some toys and "new" toys are more fun. However, kids tend to get really attached to some toys and will go into major meltdowns if that toy mysteriously disappears.

With that said, I would stick to toys that can be easily sterilized and are not likely to form some time of bond with the kids (stuffed animals, very cute toys with sweet animal-like faces, etc.). Good luck with your business pursuits!

I think its a great idea. Tramperlynes, swimming pools, swings and slides. Noone has room to store things over the winter and kids get bored of the same toys or they grow out of it. Get some free business advice from business in focus. They helped me. You will see all the pros and cons and if need be they can offer you a grant to. Live the dream.

Why only big toys? What about other things that more needed? Such baby box, baby walker, etc. That's a great idea!

It is a good idea. Unfortunately, however, many councils have jumped on this bandwagon and, as I assume your target market would be the slightly poorer family, I don't think it would be a viable venture.

My daughter had the same idea, but when she looked in to it, there were already shops doing just that but may be not in your area.
