I can NEVER spell it right >.< - That really annoys me!! I'll look it up in the dictionary tonight and correct it in my mind.

As an M.D., you would need to comlete premed undergrad, four years of medical school, 5 (or maybe it was 6) years of residency in the specialty of anesthesiology, even a fellowship if you so choose.

Youve got it right first of with your spelling, however, it does take many many years. Is your handwriting crap as that is another great factor, I think it is part of the how to annoy the nurses protocol that Drs get. You are in med school for at least 5 years straight off.

in india, to be an anesthatist.. u need to clear physics, chemistry, biology, additional to english and any other subject in 12th standard, then to clear mbbs and finaly get a md seat in anesthesia

A medical doctorate, then specialisation.
It also helps if you spell it correctly.
