Sorry to hear that. As the husband of a woman who has suffered from Crohns for years, I have empathy for you. Though some claim that diet has no effect on Crohns whatsoever, we found that eliminating sugars and dairy products from your diet can minimize the symptoms associated with Crohns. A book that my wife swears by is "Patient, Heal Thyself" by Jordan Rubin, a man who suffered from Crohns Disease himself and is living a symptom free life. Hopefully you can find whatever information you need in this book. (I'm not selling this book nor am I affiliated with it in anyway.) Take care, and good luck.

I've know three individuals that have had crohn's disease, all three required surgery. All three required a colostomy (Surgical construction of an artificial excretory opening from the colon) with a colostomy bag attached.
Get a second opinion to confirm your diagnosis and have it taken care of asap and hopefully you will not require a colostomy.
God bless and good health!

In cold weather, be careful to keep your hands and head warm. Especially your fingers. Also, enjoy hot (as hot as you can stand it) baths. They encourage good circulation, which is a bonus. Just lie back in your bathtub with a good book, a cup of tea or coffee and a few candles..it relaxes the mind as well as the body.
