Kittens are very different from adult cats -- sure, they're really cute and fun to watch, but they are also like 3 year olds -- they play non-stop and then fall asleep -- and they can be very annoying at times because they're just babies and still learning. Like babies, kittens are still developing. They are not interested in sitting in anyone's lap because they have so much energy that if they're not actually asleep, they want to explore their world and play and knock things over and climb the curtains. That's normal kitten behavior.
They're also in a strange world if they are an only kitten -- cats are very social creatures, but kittens even more so, and this kitten needs another kitten to play with. They practice their "hunting" skills by stalking each other (or their mother's tail) and pouncing.
If there isn't a better hunt object to play with, they'll pounce on your hands and feet. This is just normal, natural behavior. You can solve the problem by getting another kitten and by setting some limits by shrieking if the kitten hurts you and stopping playing with the kitten for a few minutes.
Don't worry, in 2 to 3 years, your kitten will have lost a whole lot of energy. If you want a loving peaceful cat, the best way to get one is to adopt an adult -- then you know what kind of personality the cat has (you can't tell what kind of cat a kitten will grow into) and you are providing a home to a great pet. I have a number of cats and fostered many litters of kittens. I'm definitely not in the market for any cats, but if I were, I'd adopt an adult cat -- they are so much easier. Besides, everyone wants the cute little kittens and many adult cats who are wonderful get put to sleep because there are not enough homes.

Kittens will be playing and knocking over everything. But make sure that you pet her and handle your kitten a lot. That way she will get used to being picked up and when she grows up, you will not be able to keep her away from you. I used to raise mine giving them a lot of attention , to a point, that they would follow me like a dog. The ones that I raised up with a little attention were like regular cats, but they did not follow me around, but still loveable. Some cats have their quirks too. I got one that will jump on your lap and lay there while the others just lope around. I only have three cats.

Kittens are rough and playful, and they will grow past this stage especially of you get him neutered. That always makes a male cat more docile. Give him some time, and also look into some training for him. You don't want his negative behaviors to continue at your shop.

For starters male cats tend to play more rough than female cats, also neutering may help tame him down as well as control the cat population.
