I am looking for resources for Elementary School playground grants. We have worked really hard at raising funds, but we are short on money to complete project. Does anyone know where I can find grants?

In part the answer to your question lies in your locality. Publicly funded grant dollars are usually administered through a location. State grants can be from federal dollars, state dollars or a combination thereof. For example, I've included a link to a Texas grant site, a South Bend Indiana grant site, and a site which is a compilation of grants for nonprofits related to education. There is a network of professional people dedicated to finding funding for nonprofits and helping them to organize in the most efficient manner. My daughter wrote a grant a few years ago for funding the development of a skateboard park. Those grant dollars are out there (particularly since you have some matching funds). Good luck. Hope I've helped.

Check with local businesses. They usually will donate money to help out. Bigger chains, such as WalMart, Target, KMart, Lowe's, and Home Depot may even send some people to help put the playground up.
