She has never told me she does not like me romantically, but she hints at it. She also denies her attempts to flirt even though she does flirt with me. I told her I like her, and now in the same conversation, she suggested that we could start sharing our deepest thoughts with each other. She wants us to encourage each other. Why does she want to know my deepest thoughts?

That is the question a person would ask when they want to be more of friend...either she does, or she doesn't and is playing you. If she is a good friend and hinting, chances are she does want a relationship, but wants you to make the first move for fear of rejection. If you ask and she does reject you, at least you know she is playing you and not someone to share your most intimate secrets with, for sure!

It could be that she wants to know you more, the real you. Time will only tell if a relationship is possible, don't be pushy. Accept the fact you have a true friend and be happy.
