I sent an invite to Jonathan Davis, he responded by giving me 8 free tickets to see Korn b/c he couldn't come to the wedding (tour stuff). It was cool though b/c the tickets were for the show that was a week after the wedding.

Depends on the status of the celebrity i think. of course the obvious too....how well they know you. If you know them personally, i don't see why it would be a big deal to send one. If they are available then they will probably come. Now if its someone like Oprah, Brad Pitt...that kind of status....yeah right...good luck. Band members or show hosts kinda status...they might, but I have to think that maybe the only reason to ask this (if you don't know them personally) is that you are hoping to get free stuff from them...that's kinda low.
so I would say unless you know them personally, chances are you wont get a response and therefore wasting money by sending an invite in the first place.

it incredibly is stupid. until you for my area have worked for, worked with, or are friends with a action picture star then do not complication sending them an invitation on your wedding ceremony! they won't come and in all probability won't even get the invitation until the marriage has exceeded with the aid of. Celebrities get a lot of mail and hire assistants to head with the aid of their mail.

Answer this question- would you take time out of your life to travel possibly thousands of miles, pay for accomodations, etc to go to a complete strangers wedding where you would have people all over you wanting pictures, autographs, etc?? I don't think so. Celebrities would have much better things to do with their time and money.
