Its possible. Psychosomatic pain (induced by the mind) is a well researched and is known to exist. This is not a person "putting on" pain, it is REAL pain which the brain creates, often due to stress and external pressures;

Depression can lead to pain, and if you are a worrisome person, then you probably do have some form of depression. Anxiety can cause lack of sleep , which can lead to fibromyalgia, which can cause pain in the back, shoulders, chest, arms and hands in particular. You need to see a neurologist/rheumatologist for some testing to see if you have this. You also need to discuss depression with your medical doctor. If he is just passing you off and not taking you seriously,then you need a second opinion. The mind can play tricks on the body, please have a complete evaluation, the treatment will make you life much more enjoyable. Good luck

Absolutely. Your anxiety causes stress and many illness are either caused or exacerbated by stress. The fact that your doctors cleared you adds to that possibility. There is nothing that they would see on an exam or xray.
I would suggest massage therapy, yoga, tai chi... something to help you get in touch with the relationship between your body and your mind. It will also help you learn how to release some of the stress -- and therefore lessen the chance of pain response -- when you do suffer an anxiety attack.

yes, actually it can. Alot of times people who suffer from depression and/or anxiety will also have physical symptoms. My pain management dr told me that you can heal the body untill you heal the mind. Sometimes your mind will cause you pain, like in your case it may have well been from your worries

Yes, worry (or depression) can cause pain. Muscle aches & pains especially & headaches. Dr.s know that psycosomatic pain is just as real as any other kind.There are drugs that can handle this part. As long as injury, desease etc. isn't causing your pain, then ask your Dr. for one of these meds.

depression causes pain and in lots of wierd ways. Those other symtoms indicate you very likely were also depressed, so yes thoughts can cause pain. Also there are are diseases which can cause wierd pains, but if when your mind cleared the pain did also it was likely depression.

Yes. People vastly underestimate the power of the mind. If you're stressed or anxious, your muscles tend to tense up, causing muscle soreness. Also, I have seen people think themselves into an ailment or pain. If you think you're sick or hurt, you will be. The human mind can convince the body of ANYTHING!
