Yeah it would be. They have a lot of Special Interest Groups too. More info here http://www.mensa.org/index0.php?page=11

To find a local group near you, look here http://previous.us.mensa.org/local_groups/n_find_region.php

And re: the poster above me, it's the top 2%, not 10.

I once took a test online to see how you ranked against MENSA people. I was pretty much the same as them, so yes? I'm an atheist.

As far as I know, Mensa has no particular religious affiliation since it's all about intelligence. I'm sure some members are religious and some aren't.

Hello =)

MENSA represents the top 10% of the intellect of mankind.

You will find that they are about a 50/50 mix of atheists and non-atheists (this does not mean Christians)......

You will also find, however, that they are much more respectful of one another's beliefs than are the general public, and certainly moreso than the crowd here on YA!

Namaste,

Mensa is for people who get on their tests beyond a certain IQ score, that includes theists. Trying to look all loony theory atheists look scientific and more intelligent this way doesn't cut it, sorry.

Makes you think that the majority of the smartest people in the world are not Christians or religious followers. A couple of hundred years ago the catholic church would have them all killed for being non-believers.
Just think that if it wasn't for religion repressing everything that wasn't religious, mankind would no doubt be travelling among the stars today. Isn't it about time we dropped the all the false gods and started thinking for ourselves.

It's a great organization if you like hanging out with other smug, nerdy, assholes who think they are smart because they spend hours every day doing anagrams.
