how he feels about your look isn't as important as how you feel. Self confidence is the sexiest part of any person - no matter how good looking they are.
I've seen girls who may not be the prettiest girl in the room be the sexiest girl in the room because they are confident.
Plus, ask how many guys LOVE Jennifer Lopez's butt, which isn't small, and you will get an overwhelming number say they love it - it's big and delicious!!

Think he is probably more interested in how your insides are rather than your exterior skin. He probably thinks you look fine but if your vain or egotist then that would turn him off. But if you have an aire of confidence and a great personality that is what will turn him on more.

You need to ask him to be honest with you--and be willing to to accept what he says. As you describe yourself in your question, I don't see why he would not love the way you look.
