please tell me what your reason for living is? I am not at all implying that you shouldn't have one, I am curious as to why you would want to continue on in this evil fallen world if there is nothing to look forward to?

I don't think this world is evil and fallen. I think the world is a beautiful, gorgeous place. I don't like all the people in it, true, but I avoid them when I'm not in the mood.

Why do Christians keep living is this world is so bad and heaven is so good? Go witness in Iraq and get yourself killed - that seems like a legitimate way to speed up the process... :(

Because it's not true that there is nothing to look forward to. Also, the world is not "evil fallen".

It would make sense an idiot like you would call the world evil because that's all you probably see. Life defines itself unfortunately you are too stupid to realize we live to justify living not to slave to a faith and blindly follow something without question.

Do you interpret value by length of time in possession? That is a human desire. Good luck feeling desire when you are dead or in a world where human pleasures are worthless anyway. Our pleasures are defined by our survival. Good is a notion, not a feeling or a place. Those are childish concepts.

My happiness is entirely up to me and nobody else. It does not take a supernatural invisible friend to validate my existance. The evil you see in this world is the result of people with narrow vision that are trying to impose their structures on the rest of us. I look forward to a day when they become enlightened and can open their eyes to the beauty of the world free from the fear and condemnation that religion places on all but a very few of their select own.

My reason for living is to discover why I am here. The closer to the answer I get the more at peace I feel. Life is a journey. My life a story. Not judging events in my life as good or bad has made it easier to bare.

Because I don't believe this *is* an evil fallen world.

It is a beautiful world, and my job here is to help make it more beautiful in any way I can.

If you feel the world is "evil and fallen" you should seek professional help. That is an extremely unhealthy attitude toward mankind. And sounds like it is causing you serious distress.

I prefer to do that than to look forward to something that is highly unlikely to happen. I accept death, and have dealt with my fear of death in a rational way. Life is my reason for living. Life is beautiful, and I have already won the genetic lottery simply by being here. That's good enough for me.

I have lots I live for....I enjoy my life! I have two wonderful children, a fantastic husband, and 3 very rotten-spoiled dogs. Everyday is a new adventure for me....I paint and draw....listen to music and take walks. I look forward to growing old with my husband and hopefully having grandchildren one day to spoil.
