can people actually die from a broken heart? can they really? im just wondering.

Yes. If the stress from a sutiation is extremely severe and causes too much strain on the heart, it can result in heart failure.

Yes it has happened. And I have seen it once, and only once because I never want to see it again. Back in June 1999, i was about 7 hours into my shift in the ER when a 84 year old Abigail Gillis came into our ER with a suspected stroke. Well, she came in by ambulance with her husband of 65 or 66 years by her side. For the time they were with us, he told us about their love, and their life. It was fascinating. They had only been apart for about a year due to his military service.
She went to the CAT scanner and was diagnosed with a CVA (stroke). We made the plans to transport her to another hospital with a nuero ICU bed available and her husband started feeling faint and having chest pains. He was in the next bed over from her when the helicopter crew arrived. When she was packaged up for the 30 minute helicopter trip, we pushed her bed next to his, and they reached out to hold hands. He said to her, I love you Mrs. Gillis, and she said I love you Mr Gillis. They both had tears in their eyes, and honestly so did we. About 10 minutes after she left, he went into cardiac arrest, and passed away. Their touching goodbyes where the last words they will have spoken to each other.

yes in a way if you have spent most of your life with someone you cant live without them if its only been a few years then it just hurt like H3LL
get your chin up and it could take a long long time to get over it
