my wife is indonesian, im british and i want to bring her to the uk on a visit visa for six months to see if she likes living here. would i be able to extend her visit visa after the 6 months and can i apply for a settlement visa for her in the uk after 6 months.

If your married you might be better off applying for permanent residency, then you don't have to worry about it down the line if she wants to stay!

Your best bet would be to apply for a settlement visa, which is valid for 2 years, then she applies for indefinite leave to remain. She would not be able to extend a visit visa or apply for any other type of visa while in this country

AS far as I know. you cannot apply for a permanent residency. You will first have to bring her on a Dependent Visa. Once she comes to the UK then she will have to stay with you for a minimum of 3 years before you can apply for naturalization.

sure why not , bring her over , maybe she has a few hundred relatives who can follow her another few thousand will not make any difference

I'M SURE THAT THE GOVERNMENT WOULD NOT NOTICE ANOTHER ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT SO YOU MIGHT AS WELL BRING HER PARENTS AS WELL
