Sunnis killing Shiites ... Shiites killing Sunnis ... my brother is a USMC captain in Iraq, and he sees this sort of thing so often over there.

No wonder why he has lots of trouble believing this "religion of peace" stuff.

they all believe in the Islam, but they have differences, is like differences between Catholic and protestants, it's just that they think the only way to resolve their problems is the war, in the case of Christians, in the Renaissance the Catholic church fought with protestant monks and theories, like martin Luther(Lutheranism) and the Anglicanism in England, the Orthodox make another separatist church, etc, etc, etc. the issue is this, we discover that we can't kill each other just for minimal differences but in their case(the Muslims) they have fought and fought over centuries, and they never agree a permanent ceasefire

It's a crying shame that people of the same religious beliefs even are killing each other. They're killing each other because they each think the other side is so horrible that the don't deserve to live for their "different" beliefs. This is similar to if a situation arose between Catholics and Protestants. Different view points on one religion.

It's a struggle for power, it's political. The Sunni and Shites want there own people in power. They're not fighting due to religion, if there was a Christian group and Muslim group you would get the same story.
