I get those sometimes. No real way I have found to get rid of them quicker. I had a doctor prescribe Acyclovir (anti viral medicine) and I would take them when I first felt one coming on and then it would never appear.

Although Valtrex is most commonly used for another strain of Herpes (the virus that causes cold sores) it is a great med to get when these start to break out. It works fast too. You should get a prescription for it with refills so that you have it whenever they start breaking out. You need to get it under control because they can spread onto your nose and face. My exhusband used to get them pretty bad. He used the valtrex in combination with Abreva and they rarely lasted more than a day or two.

In the US, we have an over-the-counter medication called Abreva. It's very expensive, for a little tube of it. Apply it to the cold sore very gently, with a Qtip.

My doctor said it works better than anything he knows of. I am afraid that you are going to have the scabby sore for a few days.

Get some Abreva and some L-Lysine. Take about 2-3 -L-Lysine tablets a day and apply Abreva liberally. Feel better.
