I am just wondering if there are others who feel like this. I love God with all of my heart. But, I seem to do things that I know are wrong, sometimes even at the same time that I am doing it. But, something spurs me on and I continue to do it all the time feeling ashamed and awful. It's like certain sin is a compulsion with me. I feel like I drown in my sin, and as much as I love the Lord, and want to please Him, I know that I do not please Him, and I feel like I am not worthy at all of His love, and I am scared that I am going to hell. Please give me some encouragment. If you have any good scripture, please give it to me. Thanks.

Well, it's human nature, but others will tell you that it's the DEVIL.

Every Christian struggles with sin. It's a tricky thing to figure out. In fact, just about the entire book of Romans talks about it.
Sin doesn't become sin until action takes place. You have a temptation of some sort and if acting on that temptation you have sinned. Being tempted is not a sin it's what you do with that temptation. God, through Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit has given you the ability to overcome sin. Whereas before you came to Christ you were in bondage to it. God will always create a way out of temptation. Trust Him and you'll change.
I left a link below to a book which will help you in this time of need. It's has helped me in more then I can describe.

Well I certainly know the feeling. I've been a Catholic all my life and we are taught that if you know something offends God, then don't do it. But sometimes it can't be avoided. I used to feel guilty whenever I did something that the Catholic Church considers as a sin. But now that I am older, I choose to believe in a God who has forgiving heart. I sometimes think that human beings underestimate God's mercy. I do believe that as long as you are kind to others and you don't do anybody any harm then God will look at you with kind eyes. If you really believe that what you're doing is against His will, then you should try to stop. It's the guilt that's killing you, not necessarily God's wrath. Believe me, He is a merciful God.

I understand how you feel. I sin all the time, and when I am doing it I know it's wrong. I start beating myself up for what I did, and get all upset about who I am. But I have been learning that, that's why Jesus came to save us. If we were perfect Jesus wouldn't have sacrified his life b/c there would be nothing to save. He died for us b/c we were sinners and need his salvation. It somewhere in the Bible that the law is given to us to show us that we can't keep it. That doesn't mean we should start sinning as much as possible. It means that we are not perfect and we need a savior.
Don't be afraid about going to Hell if you have already accepted him as your Savior. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that who soever believes in him will NOT perish, but have everlasting life." See, if you believe in him you will not go to Hell. God loves you so much, that's why he died for you. He knows you can't stop sinning, but he is there to help you out. And trust me I need just as much help from God as you. I am far from righteous, but I am forgiven by the blood of Jesus. Here it says in the Bible in Romans 5:8 " But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." As I said before He died for us because we were sinners. Here is anothe verse from Psalm 18:16, "He reached down form on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters." God is there to help you out.
here are a few more verses from the Psalm that you can look up for yourself. 28:6, 32:1-2, 68:19, 103:11-12, 120:1, 145:8, and 147:3. I hope I have encouraged you, and that you will know that God love you so much. You are his child and will never let you go out of his sight. He has prepared a place for you in Heaven.
love,

From Christ’s atonement on the cross springs our assurance of salvation and eternal life. Many people who claim Jesus as Savior know that they are saved but are uncertain about eternal security, the Lord’s guarantee that our deliverance from sin is permanent. Such believers worry that their salvation can be lost through wrong actions. Eternity is God’s promise, and He wants His children to be confident about spending their future in heaven.
When a person places trust in the Savior, he receives not only forgiveness of sin but also the life of Christ abiding within him: Jesus’ eternal nature becomes his. If we base our security on anything other than Christ’s finished work on the cross--such as our good works--then we will be prone to doubts about eternity and the wrong assumption that God’s favor and heaven must be earned. In truth, eternal security is an extension of the Lord’s grace.
When we were unbelievers, the promise of heaven impacted our understanding of divine pardon. In repenting of our sins, we changed our thinking about wrong behavior and acknowledged helplessness before God. In turn, we received forgiveness, and our intimate relationship with Him began at that moment. For believers, repentance makes right our fellowship with the Lord; forgiveness is already ours.
After receiving Jesus Christ into our life, we may still have some doubts or may even rebel and sin against Him. But our salvation is not lost. Scripture is clear on this point: "I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish" (John 10:28.)

The Father loves you no matter what you do. He loves you and wants you just to come to Him. Confess your sin to your brothers and sisters in the Lord. Then just look to Him and He'll bring you out of your sin, He did with me.

St. Paul's letter to the Romans in the Bible. Also the letters to the Corinthians explain this very thing that we all go through when we love God.
