lcd, they can handle higher resolutions, have better contrast ratios and also wider viewing angles. i would really reccomend that you buy a magazine such as "which? LCD and Plasma" this kind of investment is always worthwhile putting a lot of research into

They're both equally good. Plasma has truer blacks that lcd, which make it better to watch in a dark room. Lcd's, however don't have glare, which are awesome if your tv is in a room with lots of windows. I have an lcd, and I love it. Also, plasma tvs have a potential for screen burn-in. So, if you play lots of video games, I'd steer clear of the plasmas.

Plasma. Because its resolution is much more better than LCD. But plasma tv uses more electricity than LCD.

up to 42" lcd are far better. above this some people say plasma have a slight edge. if you intend gaming on it avoid plasma. the best on the market at present is the sony bravia range.

check arai.co.uk and look at the hyundai range of lcd's they are better then most of the fancy names and much cheaper. they are the same unit as the marantz lcd which is a quality tv. ive seen an xbox 360 on a lcd and it looks awsome.
