No one really knows the answer to that for sure so if anyone tells you "yes they were" or "no they were not" it is only an opinion or an educated guess at best.
More than likely they will just berate you for even asking a question like that because they can't be objective to begin with and ultimately they can't answer it.
My best guess would be that they were not.
