Hate that itch when you've been bitten by a mosquito? Well I stumbled upon a way to end the itch of a mosquito bite instantly! I hate mosquitos. I hate the awful itch that comes from their bite-even more.
One spring morning I was cleaning my yard and carefully removing any stagnant water from around my potted plants, when I got a nasty bite from a mosquito. I went inside to get rubbing alcohol to put on the bite and some calamine lotion. I located the rubbing alcohol, in the medicine cabinet-but realized I was out of calamine lotion. I put the rubbing alcohol on my skin, and of course - began to scratch the irritated bite area.
Needless to say-that itch can be unbearable and cause the skin around the bite to swell. To make a long story short - after I applied the rubbing alcohol, I put a piece of scotch tape directly on top of the bite and to my surprise - the itch stopped - immediately! I left the tape on for about 4 hours and when I pulled the tape off, I could actually see the poison extract from the mosquito - on the tape. Somehow the adhesive on the tape collected the fluid from the bite and I held the tape up to the light and I could see the tiny penetration hole on the tape from where I was bit.
I have been using tape to end itching form mosquito bites ever since. It's funny how a simple piece of scotch tape can halt an unbearable itch. Apparently, the tape keeps the area around the bite from naturally expanding. After I removed the tape there was no further itching and no black mark left. I put some more rubbing alcohol on the skin after removing the tape. I know it may sound weird, but the next time you get a irritating mosquito insect bite, after you place your antiseptic on the bite-place a piece of scotch tape directly on top of that bite and feel instant relief with no insatiable urge-to scratch!

The Boot's little electric zapper might help but I would use vinegar as it is an acid. The sting is alkali. It is also freely available and pretty cheap to buy.Dab on at hourly intervals until the itching goes. The best way to stop itching though is not to scratch it as this encourages further action on the spot. Control the scratching and it will go away.

You can buy itching powders/creams from just about any store (Walmart, local drug store).
Usually when I dont have that handy, put lotion on the area. It will itch like crazy for a few seconds-but dont scratch it. After that, the itching goes away. It will return eventually (especially if you scratch it on something)..but just repeat the process.

If rubbing alcohol or witch hazel isn't helping, make up a paste of baking soda and water and pat a little on it. It takes the sting out.
If all else fails, there are topical anti itch creams like benedryl that can help.

I was taught at an early age, that using a mixture of meat tenderizer, and water (like a paste), takes the venom out, and thus, no more itching...I use this method for anything that itches, and it works...I wouldn't put it on private parts, however...

ok they're are many options one is buy som benadryl cream and put it on it. If its that bad buy extra strength. I can say from my own personal experience that benadryl works wonders in minutes sweet relief. BUT UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES EVEN IF IT ITCHES DO NOT SCRATCH IT COULD GET INFECTED AND MAKE YOU SICK. to keep your self from scratching cover with a band aid until you get som anti itch cream.(preferably bendadryl)
P.S. calamine lotion, calydryl, and aloe work just as well!

rubbing alcohol is best because it doesn't smell like vinegar. but vinegar and witch hazel will work too.
if thats not enough for you, mix up some baking soda and water and dab on as a paste.
another thing you can do is to apply hydrocortison anti-itch cream, available OTC.

Try pouring some vinegar on the mosquito bite. I have done that many times, and it has worked.
