I have an MPG file I want to send to a friend but the file is to large for my e-mail system to send. Is there a way to edit the file so that I am sending part of the file (I only care about the first half). I do not want to compress it, just edit/reduce it.

If you are using Windows XP, you can cut a movie using the Movie Maker program included with XP.

Start > Accessories > Movie Maker

Import the clip into the program
Drag it down to the timeline at the bottom
Cut out the part you want
Save it as a new movie
E-mail it to your friend

Either use a file splitter, and send in multiple files, tell the person you are emailing what to do. Or use an editor video or audio, and this can chop the file up, as in copy the section of the file to a new file... something like Blaze media Pro... its good.
