On W. Fullerton (east of Ashland - about 3 blocks) Charlie Trotter has "take out" food. Charlie Trotter has one of the best restaurants in the world.

to be extra romantic just have a picnic in the living room with some cheese french bread some wine some "fine" meat not olive loaf fresh fruit

You can always buy ready cooked meals ,then prepare a salad............
Chains.The best place for that is at your place..where the meal will be .Have a great time .You're the desert...
Oh yeah..Tell your partner to bring the wine......
